On the North Side of the Tisza, in one of the Hungarian wildlife refuges, you can find the friendly rural village of Poroszlo. Poroszlo is 130 km West from Budapest airport, along the M33 towards Debrecen (84KM). It is an old farming village with around 2,300 inhabitants. Attractions in the village are the Calvinist Church, the Roman Catholic Church, and the Regional Museum. The Museum gives a great idea about the rural culture from the 19th century, and ancient methods of fishing. There are several restaurants, bars and shops in the village. Also, the village has a private beach and a harbour. It lies on the edge of the puszta and has a tranquil and quiet atmosphere. The main reasons to visit Poroszlo are the Tisza and Ecocentre.
